Poetry Month

The poem that I chose is the poem that I presented for my 7th grade poetry showcase. I found it off of pinterest and I had to memorize and recite it in front of an audience. Here is the poem:

I like this poem because of its innocence and simplicity. The first line is "When you were young and scared of nothing". I think its beautiful how easily the child in the poem is able to appreciate something that we normally take for granted.
