In social media today, we choose the way that we are percieved online. We create a certain image of ourselves and we choose what we want others to see. People do not advertise their negative traits or unflattering pictures, which often fools us into believing that other people's lives are much better then our own. When comparing other people's fabulous lives with our own reality, we often get discouraged. It is essential to remember that we are all hiding under a mask, and you cannot be sure of someone's life from their social media platforms.
